Admit it, we all have our fair share of office boo-boos. It can be because of an honest mistake or just bad luck. But mine is just pure stupidity. Let me recount this super embarrassing scenario at our office. ‘Twas only yesterday when my boss instructed me call this person so he can be featured in the “featured employee” section. So then, I dialed his office’s number:
The phone rings.
A guy, probably a student assistant, answered the phone.
The guy on the other line: Hello, good morning.
Me: Hi, can I please talk to MS. Jean?
Guy: Sino pong Ms. Jean?
Me: Yung Dean ng College nyo.
Guy: Ahh. Actually ma’am Jean is a Mr. And wala po sya dito, nasa meeting po.
Me: Ahh, ok. (still thinking of clever things to say to regain my composure)
Guy: May I know who’s calling please?
Me: Err..no, I’ll just call later. Thanks.
And I hang up the phone.
Thankfully, the guy on the other line could not see my super red face. I bet that the moment he hung up he’ll think how stupid the caller is. But I’m still smart enough to not give my name. hahaha..
